HOW TO CLEAR AND REFRESH A MEETING ROOM?

OBJECTIVE

That all equipment need to be returned for storing or prepare for the next function, the function will be refresh in next day in good condition for sale to guests.


POLICY

To ensure the function rooms are cleared fast & efficient

To ensure that all equipment is controlled and stored properly.


PROCEDURE

Ensure guests have left

Make sure that all guests have left the room.

Close the function room doors and put a sign outside: “Clearing in Process”

Clear the room

All items and equipment must be cleared and removed from the room

To stewarding

All cutlery, plates, glasses have to be brought to stewarding.

Breakages to be kept separated and counted afterwards.

To storeroom

All napkins in bundles of 10.

Tablecloths colors and white separated, wet and dry separate.

Skirting go to store room

Chair cover together

Linen requisition to be prepared

Separate torn or damage linen

All food to be returned to kitchen, beverages to be stored in the beverage store for the next day return to F&B Store.

To back area

All chairs to be stacked in 10’s and placed neatly, separate chairs for repair and dry cleaning.

All tables to be placed neatly, separate tables for repair.

To storage area

All buffet tables to be stored as per specs

Stage, break down and place neatly

Props to be stored in respective are.

To florist

Flowers to be kept in fridges and use again

Cleaning

Inform Housekeeping PA supervisor that the room is empty and ready to be cleaned

Reset

Check the next requirements for this room and set up accordingly
