HOW TO RECEIVE STOCK & STORAGE?

OBJECTIVE

Those fridges are stocked up at all times.


POLICY

To maximize guests satisfaction


PROCEDURE

Fill out stock requisition form

Fill out a stock form so you know what stock you need to get. This way you don’t end up double handling stock you didn’t need & reduces Manual Handling.

Obtain a Room Service Trolley

Obtain a room service trolley or a drink dolly on wheels to take to the store room with you

Collect stock

Collect required stock from store room & Place the stock onto the room service trolley. This will save you carrying the stock.

If you cannot find a room service trolley use a black esky on wheels & place the stock in the esky. Do not use a milk crate. You could over fill it & cause yourself a back injury.

Stocking fridges

Wheel the trolley of stock to the required area & stock the fridge.

Ensure you follow correct manual handling procedures.

Keep your back straight

Bend your knees

No over stretching.

Only lift what you feel comfortable with.

Clean up

Once you have finished stocking the fridges it is vital that you put any cardboard / Rubbish in the bin & take back any equipment you have used ( trolley/esky). Leaving boxes in the bar/hallway creates a trip hazard for yourself or other staff members.
