


HOW TO THANK THE GUEST UPON DEPARTURE?
OBJECTIVE
Expect to be thanked for my business in a genuine and professional by a pleasant and friendly team member.
POLICY
To maximize the guest satisfaction.
To thank guest for coming to make him/her feel good to give us their business.
It also gives you a last change where the guest might give you direct feedback about his experience before he leaves.
PROCEDURE
Guest is leaving
Pull the chair slightly away when the guest stands up
Return hand coats/case bag to guest.(if any)
Stand upright with smile and eye contact.
Bid farewell to the guest
Say, “Thank you, Mr. / Mrs. XXX or Sir/Madam (if you don’t know their name by then), I hope you enjoyed your meal have a lovely day/night. I Hope to see you again soon”
It is very important to always invite the guest to return in some way.
Any TEAM member hat sees the guest upon walking out to the entrance should stand upright with smile and eye contact with the guest and say “Thank you very much, enjoys the rest of your day/night”.
